CHARLOTTE LANE VOTED AS ONE OF BEST RESTAURANTS IN PROVINCE
The Taste of Nova Scotia Prestige Awards celebrates excellence in the food industry for providing exceptional culinary products and experiences and this year's winner as Restaurant of the year - Chef Insprired Casual Dining is Charlotte Lane and chef Roland Glauser in Shelburne. From over 900 nominations, Glauser apparently gleaned 250 votes for the award announced during the annual Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia’s (TIANS) Tourism Summit on Tuesday in Halifax.
"We were amazed at the passion for Charlotte Lane shown in the nominations," said Taste of Nova Scotia communications director Christine White. “We offer authentic culinary experiences in Nova Scotia,” says Janice Ruddock, executive director of Taste of Nova Scotia. “We have access to an abundance and variety of fresh, local ingredients, but it is the genuine passion from our people, the fishermen, the farmers, the chefs and the winemakers, that set us apart from other regions…every one of our Prestige Award recipients has a distinct pride of place and exuberant passion for what they do.”
Other South Coast winners included Fleur de Sel in Lunenburg, which was voted Restaurant of the Year for Fine Dining and server of the year was Simone Mombourquette from Trattoria della Nonna in Lunenburg. Consumer Choice Product of the Year was the pumpkin muffins from Schoolhouse Gluten-Free Gourmet in Mahone Bay
On his Twitter and Facebook feeds, Glauser thanked customers and friends and congratulated his staff, and his "great" wife, Kathleen.

Myself, my boyfriend Daniel, keith jacklin and other family members had a dinner at Charlotte Lane in October. It was amazing, the staff was friendly and the food was incredible. I would highly recommend the Charlotte Lane!
